GUEST FAQS

We would love for you to come to worship with us.  We understand it can be a little stressful or uncomfortable visiting a new church for the first time. In case you are new to Frankford...here are some answers to common questions about the church.

  • What should I wear?
There's no specific dress code here. Some people like to dress up, while others come in jeans. Anyway is fine, we're just happy you're with us.
  • What about my children?
We have a Bible class at 10am for children, but kids of all ages are welcome in every part of the service. Don't worry if they're a little noisy - that's just kids being kids, and we love having them here.
  • How does one become a member of the church?
To become a Christian, one must: Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17) Believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God (John 8:24, 58) Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3, 5) Confess Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32, Romans 10:9) Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
  • Singing
We love to sing! We do it a cappella, without instruments in according with Biblical authority. Our songs are all about giving glory to God and Jesus, and encouraging each other. We display the lyrics on a screen. Ephesians 5:19
  • Prayers
Prayer is a powerful way for believers to connect with God. We join our thoughts in prayers to offer thanksgiving, praise, and requests for our needs and those of others. 1 Thessalonians 5:16
  • Communion, also known as the Lord's Supper
A time during worship where we remember the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for our sins. We reenact the meal Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion and take communion each week in remembrance of him. The bread and cup are available in the foyer for participants to pick up. The service begins with reflective comments or Scripture readings, followed by prayers. We take the unleavened bread to remember the body of Christ, and the fruit of the vine (grape juice) to remember the blood shed on the cross. This time also allows for prayer, reflection, and gratitude for God's grace and mercy. We ask that only those who profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ participate in this. Matthew 26:26-30
  • Offerings
Following communion, we pass around a basket for offerings to support kingdom causes. This is a way we show our gratitude to God for His blessings and provide for evangelism and helping those in need. There is no pressure to give, but if you'd like, please fill out a get to know you card and place it in the offering basket.
  • Sermons
Typically last 30-45 minutes, and we encourage you to follow along in your Bible to ensure the message aligns with God's teachings. At the end, the preacher will extend an invitation for those who feel moved to make a spiritual commitment or request prayer support. Those who wish to respond can come to the front of the auditorium while we sing a hymn. During the invitation, don't worry about standing out. You may respond for various reasons, like baptism, confessing sins, or asking for prayers. Some people may also join the church. It's a friendly and encouraging environment.
